Miley Cyrus Concert

Mylee, my sister Anna and I went to the Miley Cyrus Concert on Tuesday Sept 29 at the Energy Solutions Center in Salt Lake. We had such a blast! It was really so fun! Miley did a GREAT job on her performance. On her second song she ran off stage and the Stage Manager came out and said that she is sick and fighting the flu and she will be out in a minute. What a life. That is a lot of pressure for a young girl like her to take on. Performing songs to a live audience, while sick with the flu. It was crazy. She really did a great job. I felt guilty participating that night when she was so sick. Part of me thought,"Poor thing she should just go home and rest." It was truly amazing that she was able to do what she did.
Mylee, had a blast at the concert. She kept telling everyone it was her first concert. How lucky she is at the age of 6 to be going to her first concert. :) It was so fun to watch her having so much fun singing and dancing to her favorite songs. After every song ended she would say, "Mom is that the last song, I don't want it to end." I remember feeling the same way about things and sometimes I still do. She is such a sweet little girl. We had so much fun rocking out with Anna that night. Anna took most all of the pictures she did a great job!. We love ANNA!! We really had a blast!!! So fun!

Blessings!!

Mylee said the cutest thing to Mike today. We had just got finished saying family prayer and she leaned over to Mike and said, "Daddy, I want to tell Heavenly Father Thank you for giving me such a wonderful life." It really took Mike by surprise. To hear something so sweet and innocent and true as that coming from your child, just made our day. We are so blessed and we do have a really very wonderful life. We have three beautiful girls and Mike and I share a love that is truly unbreakable. I love him with all of my heart and I know that he loves me too. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and a wonderful life. thank you Mylee for reminding us that we should thank Heavenly Father for that very thing.

P.S. The pictures are just a little piece of the wonderful life we have. Some of the freinds that are so important to us and truly make our life wonderful. There are so many more, but not enoughstorage on my computer to show all of them. We have so many wonderful friends and the saying is true, that friends are the family you choose.

P.S.S. The pictures of us in hair caps is when we went with the YW to the cannery for service for our ward members. It was a blast!! We had a lot of fun...(thanks Jamie for the great idea & coordinating the whole thing)

Halle Bear

K so Halle cracks me up every second of the day...She is so funny. Today is the crazy day for Mike and I with our many church meetings we have. Now that Mike is in the Bishopric and I am still the YW President, we have been on fast forward speed trying to fit everything into our hectic schedules and still have some quality us time. Well, I have been loving spin class at the gym, it is the best release of stress and it gets me pumped and ready for anything. I go as much as possible. So usually when we have to get a sitter it is so I can go to spin class or when I have YW. So today, Mike and I had meetings after church and our cute friend/YW came and saved me by babysitting the girls for Mike and I so we could attend our meetings. Well, Bailee's cute mom Sunni came over and checked on the girls and they were doing great of course, but she held Halle for a minute and they had a cute little conversation:
Sunni: "Halle tell me a story."
Halle: "Well, I don't know how to read."
Sunni: "That's O.k. just make up your own story. What do you want your story about?"
Halle: Mickey Mouse
Sunni: "OK"
Halle: "Once upon a time there was Mickey Mouse and he went on a boat."
Sunni: "Then where did he go?"
Halle: "He went to Spin Class"
Sunni started laughing she wasn't expecting that kind of answer. What can I say..we are an open book here at the Carver home...we love our Halle Bear!

Abby 18 months!

Abby is such a sweetie! This is seriously her favorite face to make. I love it...It is my favorite too! Her new things to do are she goes and gets a diaper when she has gone poo in hers and hands it to me and lays down so I can change her bum. So cute! Maybe soon we will be able to potty train...She also loves to talk. Her favorite things to say are "Mama, Dada, Baba, Mymy. I have heard her say other things like gamma once or twice and she says. Ma for more. She is growing up so fast and loves to CLIMB everything. She loves to do whatever her sisters are doing and it is truly so sweet to watch her process everything..our nickname for her is Luka. Mike wants to change her name to that because it fits her so well. It came from Halle, actually. Halle would call her Abbyluka and then just luka nad it stuck. We love it! We love or LUKA!

Growing Up is hard to do....

So Mylee had her Kindergarten orientation and we are so excited that she is going to start school soon. She is going to Adams Elementary, where Mike went to school. She is so excited, in fact her teacher has been teaching there ever since Mike went there. Pretty crazy...

While I was sitting there half listening to all of the rules and expecations and whatevers...I kept thinking.."Holy Cow!" I have a Kindergartener!! I am old..I don't feel old...I even am a member of the PTA..oh yeah..I have absolutely no idea what I am doing or getting myself into at this point. I have such mixed emotions about her starting school. She is growing up way to fast. She will be six on Sept 5. I mean, this is nuts. I was freaking out inside a little. I know from here on out time is going to fly and I want to remember these moments and cherish these times. My little My My is getting big. It is harder to pick her up and carry her to bed. She is so big now. She is my little buddy and I am totally excited for this new step in her life. Mike was in the meeting and he was totally bored. I am not sure if he is thinking the same way as me. Our little girl is in Elementary school. It is just crazy. I remember when I was pregnant with her. My water broke and as I am walking into the hospital to deliver, this lady is dealing with her 2 year old little girl's tantrum and she looks at me and says, "Are you ready for this?" I remember thinking' "Well it's too late now...ready or not." Then as I was alone in the triage room while Mike was dealing with insurance stuff I started to cry, huge tears, I was scared. I am a kid having a kid. I was 22, but I was still a kid. Mylee, Mike and I have really been through a lot in the six years of her life. She has taught us so much. We are so blessed to have such a sweet spirit in our home. She is my little helper through and through. I love my little blessing. She is my sweetie...

Halle, Halle, Halle, Halle...

Halle is the sweetest, most energetic child I have ever met. She is always surprising me with the things she does and the things she says. She has always loved to sing and often times she sings herself to sleep. Her songs are hilarious...she always just kind of fills in the words with whatever she sees fit. So her current obsession is "Book Of Mormon Stories" She says "Book of Mormon stories that my teacher tells to me...Are about the lady who lives underneath the sea...." I am not even kidding. Mike and I overheard it and we didn't want to correct her, because it was so funny. I hope she never learns the real words, because it is seriously the cutest thing we have ever heard.
Something not so cute that she said to me today while visiting her favorite little cousin Averie, who she LOVES and hates all in the same minute...anyway she kept saying
"Mom I want you to leave and go home....Leave me here."
so I said "Halle don't you love me and want me to stay with you"
Halle: "No I don't love you."
me: " Oh that is not nice that makes me so sad, Halle."
Halle "well, Cry then."

I am not taking it personal. I know she loves me, Children are so in the moment she was willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Even though I know she loves me. She was trying every trick in the book...it was funny.
It also has caused me to reflect a lot about Halle and her personality. Mylee is a lot like me in a lot of ways and so i know how to handle her and I can understand what makes her do the things she does. Halle is completely different. She likes to figure out for herself just why she shouldn't do something or why she should. I have a hard time disciplining her because she will sacrifice everything for the thing she wants in the moment. A perfect example of this is the other day she was very excited to go to her friends house the next day and had been talking all about it for days and reminding me and everything every two minutes. Well, when bedtime came around she had it in her mind that she was going to sleep with me. Well, i tried everything and she kept getting up and coming in my room. So finally as every good and tired mom does, I brought out a little thing I like to call "BRIBERY" Now this tool is highly effective for big sister...although other things such as time outs and yes even spanking does not make Halle flinch...in fact she will ask for a time out and say OK if you tell her she will get a spank. I decided to try it on Halle. I said "Halle, if you stay in your bed you get to go to Becky's house, BUT if you choose to sleep in mommy's bed then NO BECKY'S house." Halle looked up at me with perfectly clear, calm and distinct words and said: "OK Mom...I guess I won't be going to Becky's house tomorrow...because I am sleeping with you."
grrrrrrrrrr...........
In response to this statement made by my precious 3 year old, I threw my hands up in the air and said something like, "I GIVE UP!" So Halle got to sleep with us that night, but she did not go to Becky's house. I am still not sure if she has made the connection. I still think she may think she got the better deal, She did cry about not going to her house but she also got to sleep with me....I LOVE HALLE BEAR...
